Explanation
们 (men) is a suffix added to pronouns or nouns referring to people to indicate plurality. It is used exclusively with human referents and cannot be applied to objects or animals. For example, 科学家们 means "scientists" (plural).
Examples
同学们都准备好了，我们出发吧。
Tóngxuémen dōu zhǔnbèi hǎo le, wǒmen chūfā ba.
Everyone is ready. Let's go!
朋友们给我办了一个惊喜派对。
Péngyoumen gěi wǒ bànle yī gè jīngxǐ pàiduì.
