    Explanation

    The conjunction 或 (huò) means "or" and is used to present alternatives or possibilities between two or more options. It is more formal than 还是 (háishi) and is typically found in written Chinese, news reports, and official documents.

    Examples

    • 你可以选择坐火车或飞机去北京。

      Nǐ kěyǐ xuǎnzé zuò huǒchē huò fēijī qù Běijīng.

      You can choose to take a train or a plane to Beijing.

    • 有问题可以打电话或发邮件联系我们。

      Yǒu wèntí kěyǐ dǎ diànhuà huò fā yóujiàn liánxì wǒmen.
