Explanation
依靠 (yīkào) means "to rely on" or "to depend on." It conveys the idea of leaning on someone or something for support, whether physical, emotional, or practical. It often appears with 互相 (hùxiāng, "mutually") to express relying on each other.
Examples
孩子小的时候只能依靠父母生活。
Háizi xiǎo de shíhou zhǐ néng yīkào fùmǔ shēnghuó.
When children are small, they can only depend on their parents to live.
这个项目完全依靠团队合作才能完成。
Zhège xiàngmù wánquán yīkào tuánduì hézuò cái néng wánchéng.
