    Structure

    那些 + Noun

    Explanation

The demonstrative 那些 (nàxiē) means "those" and is used to refer to a specific group of people or things that are farther from the speaker. It is placed before a noun, as in 那些男孩 (those boys). Unlike 那个 which refers to a single item, 那些 always indicates a plural reference.

    Examples

    • 那些苹果看起来很新鲜,我们买一些吧。

Nàxiē píngguǒ kàn qǐlái hěn xīnxiān, wǒmen mǎi yìxiē ba.

Those apples look very fresh; let's buy some.

    • 那些男孩在操场上踢足球呢。

Nàxiē nánhái zài cāochǎng shàng tī zúqiú ne.

Those boys are playing soccer on the playground.

    • 你还记得那些我们一起去过的地方吗?

Nǐ hái jìde nàxiē wǒmen yìqǐ qùguò de dìfāng ma?

Do you still remember those places we went to together?
