Expressing 'distant' or 'remote' with 遥远 (yáoyuǎn)

Explanation
遥远 (yáoyuǎn) means 'distant' or 'far away' and describes great physical or temporal distance. It is more literary and expressive than simply saying 远, and is often used to evoke a sense of vastness or unreachability.

他离开家乡去了一个遥远的城市工作。
Tā líkāi jiāxiāng qù le yī gè yáoyuǎn de chéngshì gōngzuò.
He left his hometown to work in a distant city.
