    Structure

    更加 + Adjective/Verb

    Explanation

The adverb 更加 (gèngjiā) means 'even more' or 'more so' and is used to indicate a higher degree of a quality or state compared to before. It is placed before an adjective or verb to intensify it, and is slightly more formal and emphatic than 更 (gèng) alone. It often appears when describing how a situation has escalated or deepened.
