    Explanation

    快速 (kuàisù) means "fast," "rapid," or "quickly" and can function as both an adjective and an adverb. As an adjective it modifies nouns (快速发展, rapid development), and as an adverb it modifies verbs to indicate that an action is done quickly. It is slightly more formal than 快.
