    Intersective modifier-head construction

    Description & Modification

    Explanation

In Chinese, modifiers such as adjectives, adverbs, and prepositional phrases are placed directly before the word they modify to form a tightly bound modifier-head structure. This pattern is fundamental to building descriptive noun phrases and adverbial expressions. For example, 最敏感的问题 means "the most sensitive issue."

    Examples
