Noun A + Noun B
In Chinese, two nouns or a noun and a modifier can combine to form a compound word or phrase without any linking particle. The first element typically modifies or narrows the meaning of the second. For example, 操作系统 (operating system) combines 操作 (operation) and 系统 (system) directly.
