Explanation
The verb 降 (jiàng) means "to fall," "to descend," or "to lower," used for decreases in temperature, prices, levels, or rank. It is more formal than 下降 and often appears in written or news contexts. For example, 将利率降至2% means "lower the interest rate to 2%."
