    Explanation

    右边 means "the right side" or "on the right" and indicates spatial position or direction. Like 左边, it follows the pattern of combining a direction word 右 (right) with the suffix 边 (side). It can appear after verbs or the preposition 在, as in 看看右边 (look to the right) or 在右边 (on the right).

    Examples

    • 药店在邮局的右边。

      Yàodiàn zài yóujú de yòubiān.

      The pharmacy is to the right of the post office.

    • 走到路口往右边拐就到了。

      Zǒu dào lùkǒu wǎng yòubiān guǎi jiù dào le.
