    Using 病人 (bìngrén) to refer to a patient

    Explanation

    病人 means "patient" or "sick person" and refers to someone who is ill or receiving medical treatment. It combines 病 (sick/illness) with 人 (person). It is used in medical and everyday contexts, as in 照顾病人 (take care of a patient).

    Examples

    • 医生正在查房，逐一询问每位病人的情况。

      Yīshēng zhèngzài cháfáng, zhúyī xúnwèn měi wèi bìngrén de qíngkuàng.

      The doctor is making rounds, asking each patient about their condition one by one.

    • 这位病人需要卧床休息至少一周。

      Zhè wèi bìngrén xūyào wòchuáng xiūxi zhìshǎo yī zhōu.

      This patient needs to stay in bed and rest for at least a week.

    • 护士每天悉心照顾病人，非常辛苦。

      Hùshi měitiān xīxīn zhàogù bìngrén, fēicháng xīnkǔ.
