    Explanation

    悲伤 (bēishāng) means "sad" or "sorrowful," describing a deep feeling of grief or emotional pain. It is more literary and intense than 难过, making it suitable for formal writing or emotional narratives. It often appears with 感到 (to feel) as in 感到悲伤.
