Expressing 'to wash' with 洗 (xǐ)

Explanation
The verb 洗 (xǐ) means "to wash" and is used for cleaning with water. It can be applied to a wide range of objects: 洗菜 (wash vegetables), 洗手 (wash hands), 洗衣服 (wash clothes). It is one of the most common everyday verbs in Chinese.
