    The Chinese right parenthesis）closes a parenthetical remark that was opened with（. It marks the end of supplementary information, examples, or clarifications inserted into a sentence. Like all paired punctuation in Chinese, it uses the full-width character form.

    Examples

    • 她学了三种语言（英语、法语和日语）。

      Tā xué le sān zhǒng yǔyán (Yīngyǔ, Fǎyǔ hé Rìyǔ).

      She learned three languages (English, French, and Japanese).
