    Using 九月 (jiǔyuè) to express the month "September"

    Explanation

    九月 (jiǔyuè) means "September," the ninth month of the year. In Chinese, months are simply formed by placing a number before 月 (month). Note that 九月 can also refer to the ninth month of the lunar calendar depending on context.

    Examples

    • 九月开学季，校园里到处都是新生。

      Jiǔ yuè kāixué jì, xiàoyuán lǐ dàochù dōu shì xīnshēng.

      In September, the start of the school season, the campus is full of new students everywhere.

    • 北京九月的天气特别舒服。

      Běijīng jiǔ yuè de tiānqì tèbié shūfu.

      The weather in Beijing in September is especially pleasant.

    • 我们计划九月底去日本旅游。

      Wǒmen jìhuà jiǔ yuè dǐ qù Rìběn lǚyóu.

      We plan to travel to Japan at the end of September.
