Describing growth in size with 长大 (zhǎng dà)

Explanation
长大 (zhǎng dà) means "to grow bigger" or "to grow up." When used to describe physical growth, it indicates an increase in size, height, or length. It can describe both living things growing and abstract increases in scale.
Examples
这棵小树苗终于长大了，都有三米高了。
Zhè kē xiǎo shùmiáo zhōngyú zhǎng dà le, dōu yǒu sān mǐ gāo le.
This little sapling has finally grown up — it's already three meters tall.
