Explanation
性 (xìng) is a suffix attached to words to form nouns or adjectives expressing a nature, quality, or characteristic. For example, 开创性 means "pioneering" or "groundbreaking." It functions similarly to the English suffixes "-ness," "-ity," or "-ive."
Examples
这项研究具有开创性的意义。
zhè xiàng yánjiū jùyǒu kāichuàngxìng de yìyì.
This research is of pioneering significance.
我们需要提高产品的安全性。
wǒmen xūyào tígāo chǎnpǐn de ānquánxìng.
