Explanation
The adverb 随后 (suíhòu) means "subsequently," "thereafter," or "shortly after" and is used to indicate that one event follows another in time. It typically appears at the beginning of a clause to connect two sequential events.
Examples
他先打了个电话，随后就出门了。
Tā xiān dǎ le ge diànhuà, suíhòu jiù chūmén le.
He first made a phone call, then went out.
总理发表讲话，随后回答了记者的提问。
Zǒnglǐ fābiǎo jiǎnghuà, suíhòu huídá le jìzhě de tíwèn.
The premier delivered a speech, then answered reporters' questions.
