    The noun 中旬 (zhōngxún) means 'mid-month,' referring to the middle ten days of a month (approximately the 11th to the 20th). Chinese divides each month into three periods: 上旬 (early), 中旬 (middle), and 下旬 (late). It is placed after the month, as in 六月中旬 (mid-June).
