Explanation
有时 (yǒushí) means 'sometimes' or 'at times' and indicates that an action or situation occurs occasionally but not always. It is placed before the verb or verb phrase to show that something happens from time to time.
Examples
他有时走路上班，有时开车去。
Tā yǒushí zǒulù shàngbān, yǒushí kāichē qù.
He sometimes walks to work and sometimes drives.
有时候生活就是这样，不能事事如意。
Yǒushíhou shēnghuó jiùshì zhèyàng, bù néng shìshì rúyì.
