Describing something as female with 女 (nǚ)

    Description & Modification

    Structure

    女 + Noun

    Explanation

女 (nǚ) means "female" or "woman" and is frequently used as a prefix to specify gender in titles, roles, and descriptions. When placed before a noun, it indicates the female version of that role, such as 女演员 (actress) or 女医生 (female doctor). It functions as a modifier without needing the particle 的.
