Explanation
及 (jí) means "and" or "as well as" and is used to connect nouns or noun phrases in formal writing and speech. It is more literary than 和 and is commonly found in news articles, official documents, and lists. For example, 老师及学生 means "teachers and students."
Examples
本次活动面向老师及学生开放。
běn cì huódòng miànxiàng lǎoshī jí xuéshēng kāifàng.
This event is open to teachers and students.
